Welcome to the WeGo Project!

Explore the world outside hospital walls

Mission

Utilizing Tele-Presence to Improve the Pediatric In-Patient Experience

We enable pediatric patients to visit and explore museums and aquariums from their hospital rooms through telepresence robotics.

Ultimately, we aim to alleviate the anxiety and isolation associated with pediatric inpatient hospitalizations.

How It Works

Patient is introduced to activity by child life specialist and volunteer

Patient learns how to drive robot

Patient controls robot for a 30 minute guided tour

Meet RAE

RAE is our robot that lives at the National Aquarium. Through RAE, pediatric patients see, hear, talk and move as if they are physically at the National Aquarium.
